The Ultra Trail
Ultra trail running in the heart of the highlands of Franconia.
The course for the Ultra Trail will be very demanding. Countless steep inclines will cost you not only your strength, but also your last nerve. After the start in Ebermannstadt, you will easily go along the first 4km. After that you’ll chase one uphill after another. Unfortunately the downhills won’t let you rest either. Technical sections will require your full concentration.
Along the 66km length of the course, you run through five municipalities und two different counties, all of which lie in the valley of the river Wiesent. Distinct cliff formations, caves, root-filled single track trails, and over 1,500 steps provide a lot of variety before the unforgettable race to the finish line in the market square of Ebermannstadt.

As part of the 4th LOWA Ultratrail Fränkische Schweiz, the German Ultra Trail Championships 2025 will take place as part of the open race.
